Hi there,

We just want to give you a little information on our process in choosing the products that we recommend to you on our website.

Both Stefan and Nadia have experience working in emergency preparedness and in recovery (disaster relief).

The products that we recommend on our blog come from a variety of vendors but, as avid Amazon shoppers ourselves, we do tend to purchase many of our products through Amazon. As a result, that is what we tend to recommend.

When you click on a product that we recommend on our website and it takes you to the website where that product can be purchased, we may earn a small commission from that sale. This does not impact the price you pay for the product.

What does reader-supported mean?

Our first goal is to provide our readers with information that is useful and relevant to them as they're working to put together their emergency preparedness plans.

In order to earn a small income for ourselves (as we are literally spending hundreds of hours on this website) we monetize our website with links and ads. We have the privilege of featuring a couple of our favorite brands on our shop page. Your support means a lot.

Are our product or service recommendations biased?

Many of the products we recommend are either the ones we have used, are currently using, or have an amazing reputation in the industry. You can trust that we recommend them through experience.

What if you know of a better product or service?

We are all in this together, aren’t we? If you know of a specific product or service that you feel is much better than what we have recommended, please email us right away! We do not claim to know all – we are just passionate preppers sharing what we have learned in our own journey of becoming prepared for emergencies.
